Cindy Grisdela |
Cindy plays with fabric the way she used to play with crayons as a child, first creating an interesting design with brightly colored fabrics and then using her needle to add another dimension by drawing spontaneously across the piece with variegated thread. Her fiber art pays homage to traditional methods used by quiltmakers of the past combined with bold graphic designs that give the feel of contemporary art.

Ronni Jolles |
Paper – in its multitude of colors and textures – is the essence of her work. She is often asked: “Who taught you to do this?” The answer is no-one taught her this new art form. She created it herself. Her artistic life began with drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. With a background in all of these media, she moved towards collage due to her tactile nature and her quest for texture. When she discovered paper as a medium, a whole new textural world opened up. While working on a piece, it was the medium of paper that caused her work to constantly evolve and continually surprise her. SheI produces an ever-changing body of work that has a painterly quality but contains textures that can’t be achieved through paint. "I want viewers to look at each piece and wonder how I created it. In an art world moving towards giclee prints, each of my pieces is clearly an original and impossible to capture in two dimensions." .

Roberta Thole |
Roberta is our in-house authority in classical art and symbolism --- her works are rich in symmetry and proportion that reflect Greek and Roman influence. After her subject matter is highly researched, she uses copper and other mediums to create an orderly arrangement of parts. The finished pieces, then, are in a catagory of their own: Ancient (yet) Modern Classical Works with hints of Architecture, Fine Arts, Music, and Poetry layered and textured throughout these pieces. Roberta has taken that era and theorized it into wonderful works of art!
